Show Times, Ticket Prices and Performers Announced!
Phoenix – February 3, 2009 - The Phoenix Improv Festival (PIF) is pleased to announce the show times, ticket prices and performing troupes for this year’s event, which will be held April 16-18, 2009 at The Herberger Theatre Center in downtown Phoenix. Now in its 8th year, the Festival is an opportunity to see the best improvisational talent from across the country, including performers from Chicago, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and Austin, as well as Arizona’s hometown favorites.
Show times are:
Thursday, April 16th at 6:00 PM Tickets: $10.00 The Arizona Showcase -- (This is a marathon-style show with performances every 1/2 hour until 11:00 PM. A ticket allows admission for the entire evening.)
Friday, April 17th at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM Saturday, April 18th at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM Tickets are $15.00 per show on Friday and Saturday nights. Discount tickets ($12.00) are available for students, military and seniors.
All-Festival passes are available upon request. Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster and via the Herberger box office. A separate release will be issued once tickets officially go on sale.

About the Festival
The 8th Annual Phoenix Improv Festival (PIF) will be held April 16-18, 2009 at The Herberger Theatre Center, located at 222 East Monroe in Downtown Phoenix.
The Phoenix Improv Festival debuted in 2002, and in its inaugural year featured three local Phoenix troupes. Last year’s festival featured troupes from around the country, including troupes from Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Austin, Miami, Salt Lake City and Detroit, as well as troupes from all over the state of Arizona. The Festival is produced by CareFree Write Productions (CFWP), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. This organization looks to serve as a support network for developing local artists, an educational resource for the community, and an integral part of Phoenix’s growing cultural movement.
Past performers have included Mark Sutton and Joe Bill from Chicago’s Annoyance Theater & The Second City, Jack McBrayer from NBC’s 30 Rock, talent from Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report and "The Sonic Guys," T.J. Jagadowski and Pete Grosz.
